Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Recruitment Podcast Network (“RPN”, “we”) collects when you use recruitmentpodcastnetwork.com, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
RPN is run by RecTools.io Limited, trading as RecTalk Media (a company registered in England and Wales, number 11933858), 53–55 Earlsdon Park One, Butts Road, Coventry CV1 3BH. We are the “controller” of your personal data. For anything to do with your data, email info@rectalk.co.uk.
The data we collect
When you visit
- Page visits. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to each page, where visitors come from (the referring site, country and type of device). It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
When you create an account
- Your name and email address, from the sign-in method you choose (LinkedIn, Google or an emailed link). We don't receive your LinkedIn or Google password.
- What you tell us in the short profile step: job title, company, where you work (agency, in-house, supplier or other), company size and country.
- Your choices: whether you want new-episode emails, and whether RPN creators may see your name and company as a viewer of their show. We record when you made or changed each choice.
- The shows you follow, episodes you save, and your viewing history: which episodes you play, when, how much you watch, and where you got to in each one. You need an account to watch, so all viewing is recorded against your account.
When you offer to be a guest
- What you send through the Be a guest form: the shows you pick, what you'd talk about and your pitch, with the name, job title, company, LinkedIn profile and email address you send it with.
If you've been a guest on an RPN show
- We make a public guest page for you from each episode's public title and description (which an AI reads for us): your name, job title and company, and the episodes you're on. Search engines can list it.
- If you claim your page, we see the name and email address on your account and the LinkedIn profile you give us, so we can check it's you. Once verified, you can add a photo, a short bio and links, and change or remove them any time. We keep a record of changes.
- Want your page changed or removed? Email info@rectalk.co.uk and we'll do it, and make sure it isn't re-created.
When you contact us
- What you send through the Join the Network or Advertise forms: your name, email address and the details you give us.
If you're an RPN creator
- The email address we invite you with, and the bio, photo and links you add to your public creator profile.
How we use your data, and why we're allowed to

Sharing with creators. RPN creators don't see who watches their shows. If you tick “Allow RPN creators to see my name and company”, we record that choice, but nothing is shared yet. If we ever start, it will only include people who ticked the box, and we'll tell you first.
Guest requests. If you offer to be a guest, the hosts of each show you pick see your request, with your name, job title, company, LinkedIn and email address. Each host only sees that you picked their show. Requests for “any show” only go to the RPN team.
We don't sell your data, and we don't send you marketing beyond the new-episode emails you choose.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run the site. They only use your data to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in system and file storage (servers in London, UK).
- Vercel: website hosting and page-visit analytics.
- Resend: sends our emails (servers in Ireland, EU).
- YouTube (Google): episodes are YouTube videos, played in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. The player only loads when you press play; from then on, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to it.
- LinkedIn and Google: only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Anthropic: its AI sorts new episodes into shows and topics. It only sees public episode titles, descriptions and thumbnails, never anything about you.
We may also share data if the law requires it, or with a buyer if our business is ever sold (who would have to keep to this policy).
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in the United States or store data there. Where your data leaves the UK, we rely on the protections UK law requires, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK's approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
- Your account, profile, choices, follows, watchlist and viewing history: until you delete your account. When you do, your past plays are kept only as anonymous counts, with nothing linking them to you.
- Guest requests: until you delete your account. You can also ask us to delete a request sooner.
- Guest pages: while the episodes are on the site, or until you ask us to remove yours.
- Join and Advertise messages: while we deal with them, and for up to two years afterwards.
Cookies
We only use the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work: no analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (signed in, you can download it yourself from your account page);
- correct it (you can edit your details on your account page);
- delete it (you can delete your account yourself on your account page);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- move it to another service.
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it any time: on your account page, or with the unsubscribe link in any new-episode email. For anything else, email info@rectalk.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.
Children
RPN is for people working in and around recruitment. It isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at info@rectalk.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we'll let you know.
