Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's “storage”, which works in a similar way. This page lists everything RPN stores in your browser, and why.
The short version: we only store what the site needs to work. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't track you around other websites, so there's nothing to opt in or out of.
What we store
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token (cookies) | Keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in. | Until you sign out (refreshed while you use the site) |
| rpn_profile_nudge (session storage) | Remembers that you chose “Not now” on the reminder to finish your profile, so it stays hidden for the rest of your visit. | Until you close the tab |
| rpn_prompted (session storage) | Remembers that we've already shown you a sign-in suggestion, so you only see it once per visit. | Until you close the tab |
Page-visit analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies or store anything in your browser, and doesn't identify you.
YouTube
Episodes are YouTube videos, played in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play. Once you do, YouTube may store information in your browser to play the video, under Google's cookie policy.
Signing in with LinkedIn or Google
If you choose to sign in with LinkedIn or Google, their own pages (and cookies) are used during sign-in, under their policies.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and storage in your browser's settings at any time (you'll be signed out). Questions? Email info@rectalk.co.uk, or see our Privacy Policy.
